AFMS Annual General Meeting 2020

NOTICE of ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING and CALL for NOMINATIONS for DIRECTORS for the BOARD of 2020/21

The Alberta family Mediation Society will hold the Annual General Meeting via Zoom on Wednesday, October 28, 2020 at 6pm.

All AFMS members are encouraged to attend.  The new Board of Directors will be voted upon at the AGM. 

The Alberta family Mediation Society is managed by a Board of Directors consisting of a maximum of 15 members of the Society.  A new Board of Directors is elected each year at the Annual General Meeting (AGM).  (AFMS By-Laws and other Society information is available on the website: https://afms.ca/about-us/documents/)

The AFMS Board of Directors usually meets once each month (approximately 9 times per year) by way of teleconference for 1 hour.  Additionally, the Board meets face-to-face up to two times per year at a half- or full-day Retreat.  Committee work and committee meetings are done outside of that meeting schedule.

All members are welcome to put their names forward or nominate someone they feel would be interested in being a part of this important organization. AFMS welcomes representatives from all parts of the Province of Alberta.

Also, we are accepting nominations for the John Haynes Memorial Award. Please visit https://afms.ca/awards/john-haynes-memorial-award/ for more information. The award will be presented at the AGM.
