Change to requirement for Statutory Declarations

The AFMS Board of Directors, in response to inquiries from the membership, voted to change the annual requirement for Statutory Declarations for renewals of Practising Mediators (PM), Registered Family Mediators (RFM), and Registered Parenting Coordinators and Arbitrators (RPCA). The Board acknowledges that this can be an onerous task to complete in a timely manner on an annual basis for some members. Going forward, Statutory Declarations will be replaced by an affirmation document that will not need to be sworn in front of a Commissioner of Oaths. AFMS vows to preserve the integrity of these designations while ensuring members are able to maintain their memberships and connections to the Society with ease.
